What entity types can I form?

How long until my company exists?

Standard state processing usually takes 7 to 10 business days, depending on the state. The Expedited Filing add-on brings that to 3 to 5 business days, and rush processing in 24 to 48 hours is available where the state offers it.

Do you tell me what licence my trade needs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pick your trade and your state and we set out what it takes to work legally: the licence, any bond, and the insurance a general contractor will ask to see. Every item names the authority that issues it and the date we read it, so you can verify it at the source.

Do I need an LLC before I apply for a trade licence?

Accepted Answer

Usually. Most state boards and surety bond underwriters want a registered entity and an EIN on the application. Filing first also keeps your home address off the public record, because the registered agent address goes on the paperwork instead.

What happens if my filing is rejected?

If the state rejects a filing because of an error we made, we correct it and re-file at no charge.

Can my customers pay an invoice by card?

Yes. Your customer opens the invoice link and pays by card, and the money settles to a payout account in your company’s name rather than passing through us. Set up payouts once from the quotes workspace.
